What is Side Quests?
A local task marketplace in development for helping neighbors with short, everyday real-world tasks.
What kinds of tasks can I post?
The concept is centered on short, local tasks such as errands, moving help, basic yard work, pickups, and household help. Y'know, like jumping a car? Fixing a flat? Moving stuff? Not a 3-day roof repair for your grandparents house.
Don’t apps like this already exist?
There are other ways to hire local help, but Side Quests is being built around something more immediate: short, everyday tasks that need to get done now- or soon. Instead of planning a service days ahead, the goal is to quickly post a Side Quest, connect with someone nearby who’s available, and get moving. Think less “hire someone for a project,” and more “I need a hand with this today; like now.”
Is Side Quests available yet?
Not yet. Side Quests is currently in development and preparing for a private alpha. Sign up for early access, or don't. Be there or be square.
What does joining Early Access get me?
Early Access members will be first in line for private testing, launch updates, and opportunities to help shape Side Quests before public release. People who actively participate in early testing may also earn exclusive profile recognition, such as a permanent Founding Member or Alpha Tester badge, along with other early-community rewards as the platform develops. You'll get your cake and eat it too.
How do I know who I’m hiring?
Side Quests is being built around profiles, ratings, reviews, reputation, and verification tools so Posters can make more informed choices. This is a better alternative to 'I hope this quester doesn't suck' every time.
How much does a Side Quest cost?
Free to download. Posters will choose a reward($) based on the task, time, difficulty, and urgency. The exact payment and fee structure is still being developed. For example, we don't really recommend paying someone $900 to help you jump your car. Unless you got it like that. If you do, please send us an email.
Where will Side Quests be available?
Side Quests is still in development and preparing for early testing. Launch areas will be announced as the platform gets closer to release.
Is Side Quests a job or employment platform?
Side Quests is being built as a marketplace for individual local tasks, not as a traditional employment service. The exact marketplace terms and requirements are still being finalized.
